    Geraldine "Gerry" Pieper, 78 of Scottsbluff, Nebraska died Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Gerry married Arthur H. Pieper April 27, 1948 in Mitchell, Nebraska. Gerry was a 30 year member of the Studebaker Drivers Club, being a chapter member of the Western Wheels Chapter and the Dakotas Chapter of South Dakota. When her husband Art passed away in 1984 they had more than a dozen show quality Studebakers. Gerry sold all except her 3 favorite cars; a 1963 Avanti: a 1950 Champion Regal Business Coupe: and a 1950 Champion Regal Convertible. Both Gerry and the convertible were featured on Dennis Gage's "My Classic Car" at the 1997 International SDC Meet in South Bend, IN. All 3 cars have won first place awards at International Studebaker Meets.
    Gerry is survived by her son and Daughter-in-law Daniel H. and Vickie Pieper of Mitchell, NE, daughter: Valerie Lisenbee of Scottsbluff, brother: Raymond D. Johnston of Nappanee, IN, grandchildren: Danielle L. Touchet and her husband John of Mitchell, NE and Amanda K. Young and her husband Eric of Bayard, NE, great grandchildren: Jarin Jacobs and Jesse Young, foster great grand daughter Vanessa Blanco and special family friend Stuart Tritt of Kimball, NE.
    She was proceded in death by her parents, husband and an infant brother.
    Memorials can be made to the Studebaker National Museum in Gerry's name.
