  • Truck on TWs cover

On the march TWs there is a 2 tone blue truck . In reading the store of this truck it mentions that it was built at the Hamilton plant. This being a 57 Transtar , I was always under the impression that the assembly od trucks at the Hamilton plant ended either '54 or '55 . Any comment appreciated.

I have not received my March TW as of yet, but IF this is the truck... http://forum.studebakerdriversclub.c...light=winnipeg , it was NOT made in Hamilton; but was sold new in Manitoba. (Copy of the build sheet is on post 60.)

Craig , that's the truck , very nice indeed . I questioned it because the write up in TWs says it was built in Hamilton and I didn't think there were any trucks made in Hamilton after '55.

I would say you are "spot on" Bob. Everything I have read says that '55 (E series) was the last year of truck production in Canada and I also recall that Hamilton never produced a truck heavier than a 1/2 ton either.
