Remember those back in the day,the hours spent on them steering and moving along :).always carrying a small candle to enhance the runners :!:. I helped a Friend move, and He took a couple sleds with Him.I looked at the rusty runners, and said - Chuck wouldn't it be slick to have these powder coated ?,He grinned and said ya that might be the Cat's meow.so what do you think, powder coat and have a glass like surface that might hold up for a very long time, maybe even compete with Clark Griswald :woot: and better the ETA !

I fractured my leg on one of those when I was 13. Powder coat would be awesome on one.

Not too mention the fun We used too have, building numerous ramps and pouring water on them and to and fro for a real hard slick frozen course

The only sled I know anything about had wooden runners and was pulled by a mule through a tobacco field. No fond memories there! I don't wish to ever see one of those again.

Still have my old Flexible Flyer up in the attic. At my age, seriously doubt I'll ever ride it again.

Those old sleds were a blast...A kid could steer them with their feet bending the steel runners, by twisting the footplate....Today, many are hanging in 'country style' cafe's as 'wall art'
