Electrical: Battery Replacement

I have a 64 Champ with 12 volt generator. If I replace my battery do I need to repolarize the generator and voltage regulator? Thank you.

Only if you put the battery in backwards. This usually happens when people have never seen a 6V positive ground car before. You should be fine.
