  • Need some info on a 59 Silver hawk part

I posted a topic in the swap page about needing a lower radiator air deflector for my silver hawk. I've went through my manual in search of a part number for the part needed with no avail. This may come across as a silly question but my Studebaker manual states from 1959-1963. Would the lower radiator air deflectors be the same on all Hawk models from 59-63 ?

The Classic Enterprises site shows two different front air dams, I believe. There's are steel re-enforced Fiberglass. Where are you located?

Google Classic Enterprises or go to one of their display ads in Turning Wheels. I think they offer both versions.

The part # is in the chassis parts catalog. Section 1601-12 PANEL, lower air intake-C-K (incls., hood lock brkts.) Studebaker part # is 1312083P.

I don't know if you need this i a hurry, and I don't know where you're at-but there are always some of these used,at reasonable prices,at the Studebaker swap meets.

The answer to your question is: YES, the 1312083P Complete Left to Right Lower Panel Assy. is the same 1959 to 1964, you would have to look in the '55 to '58 Chassis Parts Catalog to find out if it fits earlier years, which it probably does '56 to '58.

The secret to finding the application of things that you are not sure are in the Body or Chassis Parts Catalog or what Section, is to use the Part Number Index in the back, IF you already have the Part Number from other sources.
