One of four possibilities, (With help from BP)

I can't see an anniversary being called 'discovery'.
We all knew 2013 would be 50 years since.

The other items are 'discoveries' in my eyes.
So I voted accordingly... ;)

'Couldn't resist voting, Craig, but probably not what you would have expected!

BTW, you might edit the poll to correct the spelling of Discovery...or, since Dave makes a good point, maybe change the word Discovery to News Story.

Good poll; it will be interesting.

(Let's hope we have just as many good news items in 2014!) :!: BP

Gosh, guys; everybody has an opinion on everything around here...yet here we have an innocuous fun poll by Craig that has received 256 views, but only 32 people voted? :o

What's up with that? BP

'Just had a thought as to why this may not be getting as much play as we might think.

Many of us (myself included, obviously), simply click on New Posts when we enter the forum. Because this is a sticky, if someone just votes and doesn't post to his thread, it doesn't appear among new posts every time someone votes. Thus, it is easily overlooked by people who only access New Posts every time, even though someone may have just read the poll and voted in it a few minutes earlier.

Hmmm....:) BP

Hate to rain on the parade but I'm a newbie this year. Did not get here in time to know about Mrs. Gs car. tried a search Mrs. G's DC (spelled out)-must be another of those legends you talk about. It I can't find it I don't vote for it. Voted for the Whistler!!!!!

Speaking of new discoveries, I was stunned to recently discover the incredible number of Studebaker car and truck photos, old dealership photos, etc., on Pinterest. I'm pretty sure it's a larger quantity of photos than on our SDC site and Forum (combined.) Check it out.

Whistler got my vote!
Once restored it will continue indefinitely as an significant and visible representative of our proud Studebaker heritage.

It is amazing to me that history can be preserved: one car at a time! What would happen if our "collectors" gave in to all of the negative talk about their hobby and "got rid of" these pieces of yard art? Potential "eye-sores" to some, but as we have seen with the discovery of the Whistler, history uncovered! Its owner has an opportunity to refurnish and present history again. What a sad day it will be when parts of our past will result only in someones memory or if we are lucky, a photo. Hang onto your hobbies Studebaker enthusiasts..you never know what you will find!

Maybe the Woody that was pulled from the Studebaker grave yard should be included in this poll?

Never mind I just realized these are cars found in 2013. I think the Whistler is getting my vote, but I need to read about some of the others first.

A link to the story of "The Whistler" http://forum.studebakerdriversclub.com/showthread.php?70141-1963-R2-Lark-quot-The-Whistler-quot

Maybe others can post links to the remaining stories?

I have to vote for the Whistler. We all knew the 50th anniversary was going to happen, but the discovery of the Whistler came out of nowhere! In addition, this car, along with mu buddie's Ed Goerge's Jet Thrust powered '63 Lark, are what really pushed me over the top on performance Larks.
