  • Body / Glass: T-Cab Fender attachment area - replacement

I need to replace at least the lower part of the cowl, where the front fenders attach. The bottom part of the area is badly rusted out. The last floating nut is basically useless because of rust. Any suggestions as to how to replace or repair this area!

I don't see any replacement metal from Classic Enterprises nor anything in the Search feature on this site. Surely someone has had this problem before. This area surely is prone to rusting!

I have some ideas, but would like to have some others!

I've done this before, using the lower portion of the fender "as a guide" too cut and shape patch pieces to re-build the lower cowl area.and once you know where too place the lower nut for fender bolt you can just weld it too the sheet metal, where the upper ones will still be a caged nut.

The other choice you have is to get a section from a parts car & splice it in. I'd suggest Barry in Texas. Your chances of him having a rust free part (or at least minimum rust) is better there.
