  • Brakes: 1952 brake drums needed

Would anyone have a lead on rear brake drums for a 1952 Land cruiser. I've checked Studebaker International and Studebaker auto parts on line and both sites don't list them.
    Thanks

Your rear brake drum, part # 529224 would be the same from 1951, 52 and 53 Commander, as well as front and rear for Champion models.
I have a set I removed from my '51 Commander that includes everything from the backing plates to the bearings. $85 plus shipping from Pennsylvania or you can pick them up at York. $150 for ALL four corners complete.
Another option you may want to consider is looking for brakes from a 1955 or later Studebaker V-8. They would also be a bolt on but provide better stopping power.

I'm not a vendor, just a club member with extra parts. I attend York whether or not I have or need anything, though I have vended at Reedsville the past few years.
I plan on being the one to take a FORUM GROUP PICTURE in front of Old Main at 11:30am on Saturday. Other than that, everyone on the swap meet committee knows me, just ask at the host table.
Let me know beforehand; if you find a better deal, there's no reason for me to haul them.

Sorry, Tony. Art got mine at the Studebaker York Swap Meet in March.
Let it be known you are looking and use your free want ad in Turning Wheels magazine. Perhaps contact Tom Karkiewicz and he could bring a set to Reedsville if he has them.
