That's out of a '42. Cool! -
Actually Matthew 1942 and 1946. It was the optional Deluxe phantom wheel for the Champion. See image below on Jim Shoul's (Shippensburg, PA) original '46 Champion Coupe. They are quite rare. I had a beautiful near mint one that I traded to Tom Shrock recently for a '39-'40 Champion phantom wheel.
