    Just one. For a Stude V8. One with a breather tube. Preferably painted, not chrome.

          AFAIK there's no such thing as a left or right Stude V8 VC excepting maybe the R2,3,4.

            Painted VC's are better to chrome plate than to re-plate chrome plated VC's.
            They are lot less rusty.
            I lost a good customer a few years ago because he brought me a rusty R3 valve cover to replate. We ground a hole in it trying to get the rust pits out. I lost a customer, he lost a rare valve cover. No winners there.

              AFAIK, all Stude VC's with breather tubes are two hole.

              Except the pair I sold a couple years ago. Someone had drilled two extra holes into each them.

                Sure there is. The left one has the vent hole at the front. The right one has it at the rear!
