Air switch knob thingy

Hi guys is there anyone who has taken the long bar out of the chrome piece , I don't know if its screwed in or pressed in I just need it out without damaging any of it

It is pressed in, not easy to remove, I experimented on a broken one to find how it was attached myself a while back.. The Air knobs for 50 Commanders are pretty readily available if you need another.

Many thanks for the info unclemiltie I'll cut it off flush then drill out the bar that's left for the size I require
