  • Golden Hawk '400' Anyone?

Well, it is a 'tribute', but dig that gorgeous Packard Hawk style white leather interior. This Hawk was proudly displayed by its owner at the SDC Ocean Bay Chapter 'OCTOBERFEST'!

I just loved our Packard Hawk interior. I haven't ever seen one with the white interior. My dad said he saw one in 1960 that had a black interior. Custom or???? (I have learned to never say never).

Kind of interesting about the '58 silver color on the long block of this Hawk. I always thought that all '57 engines were painted the '56-'57 Stude 'turquoise' Stude engine color. But this is a very late production '57 Golden hawk, and the owner (Who's owned it for many years) says that the engine block was originally silver.....and a few other late '57 engines were also painted silver by Stude..............?

It is good to see that Dennis brought it out for a meet that is almost in his back yard.

That is VERY beautiful, thanks for showing off Dennis' Car Ed.
That has got to be one the most EXPENSIVE Golden Hawks ever!

I really can't see an Original GH 400 beating it's value by much, because it is actually better. IMO all it needs is to put the Red trim in GOLD.

Didn't the "400" Hawks have some type of odd outside arm rest?

No, that was a Packard Hawk only feature.

Actually, Dennis racks up serious mileage with this Golden Hawk. he drove it out to South Bend in '07, and all over New England. SIDE STORY....At this 'Octoberfest' meet a professional photographer (Niki) came up to Me and asked if she could use the Speedster as background for a modeling shoot. She wanted to shoot the pics and also a video at Larz Anderson Park..but the Town of Brookline (who owns the park) declined. She contacted Me with a date and new location, but as it was mid-week, I just didn't have the time. She was disappointed...I told her I'd call a few Stude buddies to see if one of them could sub another Stude for the shoot. Dennis (owner of this Golden Hawk) said he was game for this, and as it turned out the shoot went great....and the model hanging all over Dennis's car was pretty 'great' also.

If any of You want to see these photos, the photographer (Niki's) website is---- nikilazaridou@gmail.com Old SN-60 really missed the boat on this one boys!!!!!

Outstanding Brian! There's NOTHING like the look and feel of real leather. What's the condition of the dashboard in Your Packard Hawk?
