Man I hate Ads like that! They are so discrete, you have to log on to their site which is NOT even the Seattle Times were I was directed from at all.

    Still no real info!

What are they afraid of, someone coming to Murder them or steal the Car or what?

Here's a '60 ragtop that just sold on ebay for a second time.

Granted, it's a 6/auto with a rebuild title, but it still looks pretty decent for the money it went for. Of course, one never knows what lurks underneath, how it runs and drives, or what a magnet will disclose. But for $20K the '60 in Seattle better be one nice car.

With a six and an automatic, you can bet it doesn't drive fast.

I'm pretty sure the car the O.P. talked about is this one.

There are more pictures of it here.

This same guy is also selling a 1937 Packard Victoria Convertible (Model 1507) with a V-12 engine for a mere $200,000 which he says is 20% below appraised value.

Unless you're in neutral going down hill with the wind behind you.

Nice looking car but $20k still seems a bit steep to me, even if it's an asking price. I'd rather sell my house, plus take out a loan for the balance, and buy the Packard

The red 6 cylinder looks nice but with a salvage title. That could cause a bit of a problem in getting insurance on it & if anything did happen you'd have to be prepared for a battle.

I guess it isn't the same car. The one that I just posted about is a V8.

The car you posted about is probably the one in the original post, which states the car to be a V8. The car I found, mentioned in post #3, was a 6/auto with a salvage title. I believe this was the car to which Mr. Webb was referring.

Not meaning you, the poster, but the owner..

                        I know what you mean.

I'm about 99.99% sure I've met the guy that owns the Packard - and I guess the Lark too - a couple of years ago at the auto show in Magnolia. I wasn't sure until I saw that new leather interior. I think I've got his business card around here. He's in the insurance business if my memory is working right. It was a gorgeous car and I asked him where he'd gotten the interior reupholstered and he'd given me the name of the guy, which I also have around here someplace.

Are those the correct buckets in the Lark? The seats look different for some reason.

They look like GM buckets to me. But the seller says they are original, and he couldn't say that if it were not so. Right?

I always thought you has a glass window so you could actually see out of it.
