I need to send my sun visors to Southeast Studebaker. However the plastic pins that were in here snapped. Does anyone happen to know a good way to get the rest of the old pin out?

Probably the easiest way would be to dill as many as possible small holes in it than break it apart.

I think the last time I had to deal with that, I carefully spread the metal tube with a screwdriver, and slipped the broken piece out.

Another suggestion: drill a 3/16" hole in the plastic piece. It will drill easily. Find a wood screw that would be a tight fit in a 3/16 hole, heat it up with a torch (not red hot), and screw it into the hole you drilled. Allow it to cool, and pull it out with the screw? I know I never went to that much trouble.

You could just drill it right out, too. Ever larger drills, until one hits metal on one side. At that point, the remaining shell should about fall out.

get a pair or three of these in different sizes. They are called hemostats and can be found some gun shows were vendor is selling used tools. You can easly grab the broken end of the plastic nob and pull it out, i did the same thing with my visors.

The drill technique worked like a charm.
