  • 1957 Packard Clipper Country Sedan

    Hi everyone,
Can anyone confirm the correct side mirrors for my '57 Clipper? All the brochures I have are pretty vague. I was entertaining the AC 2728.
    Cheers, Bill

    Hi Bill,
I have a copy of the 1957 Packard Clipper Accessories owners manual insert.
The AC-2728 looks to be the correct mirror
For our Packards. If you want a RH mirror it would
    be AC-2728X.

Mine came with AC2836, which is the one with the visor. AC2728 is the standard one.

The AC-2861 was the optional "Premium" Mirror that looks way more appropriate on a Packard than either of the above.

Apparently the AC-2836 had such a low usage that it was not practical to reproduce it, I have never seen that one on a Stude., it very closely resembles a Aftermarket Roburk Mirror.

The Stude. (aftermarket) AC-2728X Right Hand, is exactly the same Mirror as the Studebaker AC-2728 with a "Objects are closer than they appear" Wide angle Mirror glass.

The only cars I've seen the AC2836 on is my wagon, Hal Hermann's '57 4 door Packard, and some '55 Presidents.

I agree with StudeRich, love the look of the AC-2861 mirror!
Will save my dollars and purchase a pair. My Packard was missing
It's mirrors when I pulled her home.
