Speedo / Tach / Gauges: Diameter of ammeter 1961 Hawk

Hi ya'll...trying to remember what diameter the stock SW Ammeter is in my 1961 Hawk. We're doing a LOT of work to here, including a complete rewire from the dash forward. The new harness suggets to run a voltmeter vs an ammeter..the car is 35 miles away in my buddy's shop, and i'm trying to order the guage today or tomorrow...

From my experience: Make sure you have good ground wires to all your gauges, they don't get grounded from the fiberglass dash.

Yeah, all BUT the Oil Press. and especially NOT the Voltmeter or Ammeter!

Be careful that you wire the Voltmeter per the Custom Wiring Diagram, not the original Stude. Ammeter "in line" circuit.
