per a request from another thread: http://forum.studebakerdriversclub.c...4-Snow-stories , thanks to SN-60 for the words of encouragement, and to the weather clearing, I took the Lark without snow tires to a local Christmas Parade and joined our SDC chapter, Sagebrush Studebakers, in representing the marque. I don't know how many entries didn't show up overall but we were noted as one of the few car clubs who did attend by one of the announcers along the route.
When we rode in the parade we switched so that we rolled red, white and blue in order.
I can't say whether I would have had any problems in the snow or not, it was mostly wet when I drove to the parade and any of the packed snow I made a point of rolling through and didn't stop to find out how the car did without snow tires.
I suggested to the club president we needed to get our truck owners on the stick and if we have snow again we needed to have trailers available to at least trailer some cars behind Studebaker trucks in the future. That should make an impression.
