  • Mysterious Studebaker Part Numbers

Can anyone help me identify a couple of Studebaker part numbers? These belong to a couple of stray pieces of NOS exhaust I have and, for the life of me, cannot find their applications anywhere.
    They are:
    #536260 Intermediate pipe
    #1563830 Intermediate pipe
    Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

    1563830 Rear Exhaust F,Y and P models LHC 65V, 66V
"P" note says fixed roof wagons only.

With a number that high, I knew where to go: 65-'66, was right on!

The other one could be a 1545260 (missmarked) rear, left exhaust W,F,D,P,Y,J for 58B,H & L
Or, the correct number is in a pre '55 book, may be '53-'54 it is not in '55-'58.

536260 IS in the price books from about 1955, but IS NOT in the actual parts books. I did find it in an old N/A catalog. It is listed as the rear exhaust pipe (between head pipe and muffler) for a '54 short wheelbase 4dr, 2dr, and wagon.
In the parts book this pipe is number 535221. Both these numbers are in the price book, so it doesn't seem to be a supersession. I found nothing in my literature that explains why that part has two numbers?

Rich- Thanks for the help. I don't believe #536260 is mismarked because it still has the original tag attached and the number is also stamped into the pipe (as all NOS exhaust was). See Dwain's response above. Looks like another one of those weird Stude part number quirks. Can anyone verify the application per Dwain's research? Thanks.

Update. While researching some more exhaust numbers tonight I did in fact find a supercession in a later price book. 535221...use 536260.
