Remember all formulas are slightly different.
Ford used Colonial White thru the 50's and replaced it with Wimbleton White when the Mustang was introduced in 64.
Most people say they are the same color, but I have used both on different project and the formula's vary slightly.
I find Wimbleton White to be lighter and brighter.

well...try as they might...even the pros can't promise "exact" color matching. That is why paint producers assign "batch" numbers. There are various formulas for the supposedly same color across brands. For example...on one Ford "Holly Green" color...Martin Senior uses green tint. The RM brand uses no green tint to achieve their version of the same color. Instead, they use a mixture of blue and yellow (along with others) to achieve their version of Holly Green. The result is a more bright light refraction. The Martin Senior looks a little more harsh and dull by comparison.John Clary

Ermine White has more Yellow in it to appear more Off-White than the Whiter Wimbleton White.
The White that very few ever get right is the '64 Astra White, they almost always end up with the GM Stark White, Refrigerator White with a slight Blue tint, instead of the Correct Gray-White.StudeRich
