  • Electrical: Door interior light switch gasket?

I have a question about the little interior light switch that is mounted near the serial plate on the door jam of my 64 lark.

From the factory, were there thin gaskets under those when mounted or is it metal to metal contact for grounding purposes?

    Thanks

I've had several of those cars and don't ever remember seeing a gasket. I think you need the contact for ground, as you said, even though the screws should do it (if they stay clean).

The only time you will see that is if the door frame or door fit is so bad that the Light will not turn off without a shim.
