  • Found an Ignitor by Per-Lux

This evening I was helping my mother clean out my late father's closet, helping her remove sweaters and other winter clothing when we came across a small blue box labeled Ignitor by Per-lux, part number 1261 Ford 6, Per-Lux Inc., Corvina, California. I have no idea how long ago my father stashed the part but the instructions have revision dates of 1979 and 1981.

I'm guessing that this is an early Pertronix unit, would a part meant for a Ford six will work in a Studebaker six?

    Thanks

    Jeff T.

To answer your question, it is quite unlikely a Ford 6 with a Motorcraft Dist. would be close enough to work in an Autolite Dist. at least not without serious Mods.

Sell it to a Ford guy, and use the funds to buy a more modern unit for the Lark.
