Body / Glass: 2R to 3R windshield swap?

Does anyone know if a 1 piece 54 truck windshield can be installed in a 50 2R cab? My glass is all gone and if I need to purchase new I'd like to eliminate the center bar if possible.

I've never tried it personally, but I've been told the one-piece windshield won't fit and shown how the '54-and-up trucks are shaped differently at the centerline of the windshield.

I do not believe that you can put the one piece windshield in your body. A compromise is to butt two flat windshield sections together (sealed at the center) to eliminate the center divider. Of course, this would require custom cut windshield glass. To me, even that is more work than the gain achieved.

Above responses are correct. The roof panels are different, and the windshields will not interchange.
