  • Body / Glass: Fender extensions on c/k cars

Can anyone provide the specific name to the lower front fender extensions/pieces that reside near the front bumper ends? Some of these are painted while others are stainless or chrome. Thanks, JT

JT, your description is vague. Can you post a photo?

'53-4-5's don't have them. I don't know if all Hawks do but I am sure the '57's do.

I recognize what you are referring to, 1956-64 Hawks have them. I just call them, "corner pieces".

I believe that they are chromed on '57-'58 Goldens.

Mine are chrome on my 57 Silverhawk but may have been changed. I also have the crome strip above the rear window used on Goldenhawks and Speedsters.

The strip above the rear window is not crome OR chrome. It is stainless....

Thanks to all for the info. I had the stainless ones on my '56 Power Hawk but during the recent repaint, I decided to go back to the originals.

                          You folks are terrific!

I think he is refering to the grille surrounds/moldings on either side of center grill. 56-61 were chrome 62 on were painted .Chrome may have been opt. 62 on. See a lot of restos., all chrome painted over.If you look up on web search 1956 Golden Hawks and other Hawks site it shows factory?? pics. & info. of all 56-64 Hawks produced
