  • Gravel Guards / Stone Shields

My car came with rubber guards, but at some point I'd like to add the chrome / stainless guards I see in most of the period advertising. I'm particularly fond of the ribbed guards I see on the '47-'49 cars:

Are either these or the smooth '50-'51 units reproduced? I figure it's a long shot, but I was surprised to discover the hubcaps are available. Thanks!

Yep, they are made of "UNOBTAINIUM"! Especially the Long ones for 2 Doors.

Good rubber ones are hard to find, but I saw a few in Colorado Springs this summer. I remember the ones for my 52 Starlight were hard to find, but they are out there.

No, none of the gravel guards of this era, rubber or stainless have been reproduced. Except for pickups.

I have some that have the usual dents. Matthew Burnette could make them look new. Matthew, if you see this, how much, roughly, would it cost to refurbish a pair. The curb side is usually the worse of a pair.
