  • Book Value ?

I have in my collection a book Titled (HISTORY OF THE STUDERBAKER CORPORATION)

By Albert Russel Erskine 1852- 1923 President The Studebaker Corporation

This book is in good condition for being 89-90 years old, does anyone know what the value would be as I'm looking to sell.

    Best To All ...........

    Hello

There are two original books on Ebay at the moment, both at least $100. Obviously it seems that they are quite rare.

That's almost more of a question for a collector books forum than a collector car forum. There are a lot of variables that go into a book's value. Condition, number of copies and reprints available, etc. The most important variable is the "what are people willing to pay?" factor. Someone can appraise a book at a million dollars, but if the highest price anyone is willing to pay is $50, it's still effectively a $50 book.

Your best bet might be to put it on ebay and see where it goes.

Those are ASKING prices, not SELLING prices. Big difference.

        Here's some completed listings. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_gtc=...mplete=1&rt=nc

Looks like around $20 is the going selling price.

If I were you I would put this book away for a few more years to come, the price might increase.
