  • Studebaker's General Store

An old friend sent me this post card about the subject store so I checked it out. I almost put in Stovehuggers, but the name sort of told me to go to this Forum. And, on page 8 of their store listing they do have an apparently authentic 42-inch Studebaker porcelain sign. Lots of neat stuff, mostly pretty pricy (IMHO).

I have that postcard on the wall in my office. I met the owner at a Petroliana show in Frederick, MD early this year. Sad to say, he doesn't own a Studebaker and picked the name for his business because it sounded neat or something like that. He's a nice guy and opens his store by appointment only. If I remember right, most of his signs that he brought to the show were reproductions.
