I recently inherited a 1960 5E12 from my father. I have all 5 original wheels and want to put them back on the truck. Does anyone know the original tire size for this truck?

6.00 x 16 were standard. 6.50 x 16 and 7.10 x 15 were optional. Do you have 15" or 16" wheels?Skip Lackie -
If you've got the 16" wheels, my recommendation is always the Michelin 215/85-16 light truck tire.

Looks like I have the 15" wheels. I measured the overall diameter at 18" but the inner most diameter is 15". So that would imply that the truck was originally equipped with the 7.10 x 15?Comment

According to the TW article (2/1987), standard tires for the 5E12 is a 7.00X16...
Think they all had eight bolts holding the wheels on like this example from Upstate New York:
