Were the fins painted two tone like that from the factory?

OUCH! for the first, nice Hawk, reminds me of a 61 that was a hand-me -down from the parents, it was white with the black stripe.

The Hawk is beautiful, but the Studebaker ramming into that Nash is very upsetting. Two of my favorite makes.

I'll bet those Ford or Chevy boys dreamed that one up. Shame on them!

At least they were 4 doors, But hardly anything body wise is interchangeable with a C/K. But there went a nice 55 Grille. OUCH.

No they were not, many dealers did them that way, I happen to like it much better than the Factory Two tone on '57 Silver Hawks, they painted the entire lower sides below the Moulding, all the way back and including the Fin.

The Dealer my Dad sold Studes. at in the Los Angeles area, sold a lot of White ones with the correct Studebaker; Blue, Gold, Red, and Black Fins painted in their own Body Shop. Dad had a demo with Black Fins.

This one really does look Great with
                  Gold Fins.
