  • Moving to Montana need and a set of 1955 plates

    Hello everyone.

My wife and I are moving to Montana early spring 2014,from Washington State.

I am currently using 1954 Washington plates with the 1955 tabs on our 1955 Studebaker Commander 2D sedan.

I would like to get a set of original 1955 Montana plates.
But according to the Montana DMV you have to have a matched set and inspected by the Montana State Patrol.

Can anyone shed some light on how to get this done?
I have looked everywhere on the internet for a set that is very good to mint, with no holes or rust on them. I can only
    find singles but no sets

Otherwise i will need to get vintage plates, which i don't mind at all.
The original plates just add that nice final touch.

    Can anyone help with this?

    Thanks

Western states like Montana have had a lower population than eastern states, California or Texas. This makes them harder to find. I'm still looking for a matched set of '64 Montana plates for my birth run. I wish you luck and hope you'll post them up when you find them.

Now all I can think of is Frank Zapa and a dental floss plantation.
