  • Ignition: Positive ground, 6V system coil

I did a search but couldn't find an answer. On a 6V positive ground system, does the positive side of the coil go to the points or the negative side? Thanks Tom

No mystery, it goes to the same place as a 12 Volt, Hot to Ign. Switch (-)
And Ground to ground ie Points (+).

Yeah, this is correct, but the way it's phrased makes it quite confusing. Positive ground = plus side to points, negative ground = minus side to points. 6V or 12V, same same...

Think of it this way: where does a coil "see" ground? From the points.
