Picked me up a 54 champion! Love these cars, it's rough but I'd hate to see it go to the junk yard!

Nice find Hunter! What kind of shape is the rest of the car in? Got any more pics?

It's pretty rough, and I'll post more pics! It needs floor pans rocker inner quarter patches .... I know a guy who I'm going to get nicer doors fenders a hood and trunk from but I'd just hate to see it be scrapped. My 64 hawk was rotted out now it's rust free and in the stages of being painted! I figure with some money overtime ill fix it up.

I could save you the trouble of all that rust repair, and. Resto work Just ship it up to Iowa and I'll take care of it:D I actually don't need another as I have a rust free example awaiting Hot rodding, but my best friend is in love with early C/K's....... and it would drive him crazy if I owned two of them........hehe

That car would melt hearts. Glad you intend to keep it from the crusher.

Hi Hunter. My name is Tom. Looks like we may be working on many of the same things in the next few months/years. I posted my first post earlier this evening. We purchase a 53 about a month ago and it looked similar. I hope you have the same luck we did when we went to sand down the car. Much of our 53 went down to bare metal. Also does anyone know why they put the chrome racing wheels on these? Did a lot of people race these cars?
