On the Studebaker Avanti, how can one get access to the wires that are connected to the foot hi/low beam switch?

I don't know anything about an Avanti but I have a dimmer switch in my hand and they are fairly common, this one has three contacts, one battery, high and low beam. Most switches attach through the floor, this one has threaded lugs which would indicate it is bolted through the floor from the under side and the three wires would be attached to the switch on the underside of the floor. Hope this helps Dave

On my 63, they are under the carpet.

Jim is correct, the later Studebakers have the dimmer switch mounted to the floor from the inside of the car. The wires to the switch run down from the left side kick panel near the firewall. Bud
