What type of carpet came in a 52 Champion Regal deluxe? Where or who has it? I want it right like the original. I want it to fit right and be finished out correctly. My car has loop nylon presently that is looking shabby.

Also do a price check with Rene at Southeast Studebaker, if you want authentic looking carpet.

I actually just installed new carpet for my car from automotiveinteriors.com. I think I found them on the Stude vendor list. Anyway, compared to the original worn out carpet I had to compare, it's not identical the way it's cut, but it does fit the floor exactly so I am happy with it. The only thing I had to do was cut the slits for the pedals, light dimmer and so on. The quality of the carpet and pad is very nice and I think it was around $200.

Most original Champions, if not all, that I have seen had a rubber mat in the front and carpet in the rear. My dad's Land Cruiser had carpet front and rear. Good luck finding a rubber mat that old that doesn't fall apart so hogs hair carpet is your best bet to be original.
