The Speedster finally got its first exterior cleanup and is going to make its first public appearance in the 4th of July parade.

Still a couple issues to resolve but this is a milestone for the SFH.

That car is super nice. really like it more than one that has all those front bumper add-ons. I think I will remove my bumper guards. cheers jimmijim

Oh, that's gorgeous!! A Lemon-Lime '55 was the very first Studebaker I ever saw in person. It left an indelible mark in my memory. I love this car.

While not a huge fan of the 55 front treatment, the speedster just looks right with that setup. Beautiful car.

Thank you all for your comments. I didn't get fog lights with the car. I have never liked them anyway as I think they make the front end look overloaded.
I spent some time looking at how others had done their front ends and decided I like the clean look you get without the bumper guards.
The parade was fun, with lots of positive comments from the onlookers. If I hadn't had the sign on the front very few would have known what it was.

Beautiful car.. Seeing another one finished is motivation to keep going on mine. I don't have the fog lights and have cringed at the asking price for them on e-bay and at swap meets. Come to think of it I removed them from my dad's '55 4 door President for some reason too. You may have sealed the deal... no fogs here either.
