Can anyone tell me what process I can use to brighten the insert in the dash. I have an extra insert and it was covered with walnut paper. and well preserved. How can I brighten up this part?

I think it's anodized, no way to polish it without messing up the coating.

I used 3m #5933 buffing compound on mine. It's a non-abrasive compound. Looks like new!
