Chances are your '54 four barrel air cleaner came from a '55 car along with the carb and manifold, as no four barrel option was available on 1954 Studebakers.Frank van Doorn

Since 4 Barrels were not used on the 232 Engine, it is possible the Engine is a '55 224 or 259.
Does it have the Fuel Pump on the Oil Filler Pipe or the Timing Cover?StudeRich
