The motor is a flat 6- 170 cu. in., out of my 1950 champion 9G-W5. My concern is the line routing in and out of the oil filter. I have painted the filter orange, put on the decals and looked through all 3 shop manuals from SI that fit the car. Other than the cut-away of the motor, the oil lines in and out of the filter for the motor are not shown. Does anyone have any pics of the lines in and out of the filter? Or help me understand where they go? Thanks Rick

Thank you...My filter has 2 openings. One at the very bottom and one about half way up the canister. I seems from the article, the upper hole in the filter canister, is associated with the oil pump T fitting(with a .043 restrictor) and the lower oil filter outlet is clean oil back to the oil filler tube. The filler tube was a part that confused me, because my oil filler tube had a plug in it. Thank you very much.

You're welcome, Rick. Your understanding of the situation is correct. BPWe've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.
