I came across a 48 Commander in Ballard (Seattle) that has to be moved by the end of this next week. I went and asked after the engine as the car is in bad shape. All complete but head off, etc. Owner said I could have it if I could move it. I'm thinking about it but if someone can use it let me know soon. Would need to be towed.

How bad is the body? Could you share a few pics?

Actually not too bad looking. Some rust through the front left fender but all glass is there and the interior is pretty clean for a car left outside. I will try to go snap a couple of photos later today. How do I post them?

For me it's easiest to just put them on a hosting site like photobucket, then if you have advanced settings on, you can just copy and paste them. There's another way to do it, but I don't get it here's Bshaw's explanation http://forum.studebakerdriversclub.com/showthread.php?9372-HOW-TO-INCLUDE-A-PHOTO

Once you get the procedure to post photos its a pretty simple process. Getting there can sometimes be frustrating. Considering the deadline involved, it may be quicker to just email the photos to someone and have them post them for you.

I took a few photos today. I will email them to anyone who might have an easy way to post them. Took a better look at the car. There is definitely rust through the floor boards on the drivers side. It would be a total resto but may have some good parts. If some one can post the photos should I just post my email address here?

If you were alot closer I'd try to get this poor thing and make a fun little rat rod out of it! I know lots of people hate rat rods but better that than a refridgarator door and a six pack!

That was a fairly well equipped Regal Commander with the Planner single leaf, cross frame Suspension, not designed for a V-8, with 4 Doors, having been stored in the pouring Rain for 10? 20 years or more?

So it is what it is, it would take some serious Love to completely restore that one, but thanks for posting the Pics.
