    And that's only the beginning

I'd like to brag on this site. I can guarantee you I wouldn't be involved in the Studebaker world today had I not found this site. Well, maybe I'd be involved, but I'd be floundering around aimlessly, and I certainly wouldn't be driving an operable Stude. The people I've met on this site have given me insight, instruction, and sometimes even parts and tools, so I can keep my ride on the road. I first met a couple people from my own chapter on this site, who have become friends and invaluable assistance in the quest to feed my Studebaker obsession.

I'd be interested in knowing what this forum has meant to others. I'd wager that I'm not the only person who has found this forum to be part of the glue that helps me stay connected to the Studebaker world.

Thanks to the club for this great resource, and to those who keep it running and peaceful. We've had it good here for several years, and I look forward to several more.

I'd echo Jim's comments. Thank you all.

Perhaps by post 50,000 I'll have my Studebaker back on the road. <sniff>

Not being an expert on the workings of the Forum, but just how do you find or tell what the thread number is or going to be?

Last night when I opened this page~

              http://forum.studebakerdriversclub.com/forum.php

I noticed the number '39999' where it tells how many threads are in this Forum.

Just some random thing I saw.

Sorta like this weekend- when I learned we have a calendar on the SDC Forum!!!
You can post your event, and it pops up that day so folks know where to find Studebakers.
              Pretty cool, eh?

I would say this is a post about posting.
And I am sitting here in my office at a point where one project is done and I have not yet started the next project, and all I can think about is jumping in my Champ truck and going for a ride through the countryside, in the rain. Owning a Studebaker is a disease -- the best kind.

This isn't a thread about nothing, it's about information and learning new things about our Forum. I hadn't noticed the thread count on the list of forums page as I usually just click on my favorites icon and go right to the General Studebaker-Specific Discussion forum. Thanks Dave for that extra bit of info.

i agree with "most" of the above!

i'm most certain i wouldn't have a Studebaker now and wanting more, without this forum - then joining the SDC and getting TW - and joining my local club: ENCSDC.

i've had a pretty bad time again healthwise recently, but i was able to take the '51 out earlier today to run a few errands. it took about twice as long as it should, since many folks, young and old, would be waiting to ask questions and some had a couple of Studebaker "stories" to share.
a great day and i feel much better!

I would have probably stopped looking after the car here in town fell through if it wasn't for this forum andf all the awesome people up here. I very well might end buying a stude from one of the friends I've made up here. So yeah it's pretty great!
