Has anyone looked or seen this car in person. Please look at this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1951-Studebaker-Champion-3-Person-Coupe-/181135579139?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item2a2c859803

I would like your comment on this. Roy

I do like the looks of that car, but I have no personal info about it.

That does look nice.

I don't have many (any) details, but I know of one closer to you that will be on the market vey soon- if it is not already.
When I get more details I'll post them here.

Well...you do have some time to investigate. It looks pretty good on my computer. I checked the seller's "other items," and it looks like he could be a "flipper/dealer."

Why not try to contact him and see if he would give you a number to call and discuss the car over the phone. If you want it bad enough...drive or fly for a first hand look.

I enjoy the heck out of my '48 coupe and would probably feel the same if it was a '51. So far, this year, I have not had a lot of time to spend playing with my cars, but if I can get caught up on some other projects...I'll be back at it. I have a few nagging issues to address before putting the '48 back on the road with confidence.

Unless there are some hidden shoddy previous work done on the car you are considering...it looks like it would be a great project for a full show restoration or driver.

It just needs a drive train. Maybe front suspension mods, depending on the drive train selected.

Says it runs and drives good in the ad...depending on the new owner's needs, it might not need a thing. :)

That has to be one of the cleanest Business Coupes I've ever seen. It is clear that someone cared a lot about it and cleaned and painted the undercarriage and probably replaced or repaired everything under it back in 1999, so all it needs to sparkle again is good washing under there.

Very nice and rare Car but you are not going to hit the reserve with bids under $5000.00

Looks really nice. How come all the nice cars are hundreds of miles away. Too bad it was stored outside after all the work it had done on it. I agree with StudeRich, $5k won't hit the reserve. Looks like it has a SDC sticker in the back window. Good luck!!

Great looking Studebaker! If my garage wasn't already full, you'd have one more competitor!
Very nice looking.

Looks really sound. It'd make a great Studemino with that long trunk!

What a cool car. Check inside the trunk closely. Jimmy Hoffa has to be in there somewhere! How many zip codes does that trunk have?
