  • Old car ID needed

I cropped this out of a old photo from a 4th of July family gathering from I think 1940 +/-. Must be a relatives'
    car that came to visit.

Not a Ford, maybe something GM? One of the guests used to drive Dodges.

I believe it is a 1937 DeSoto, Jeff. 1938 DeSotos were similar, but had plainer bumpers and the headlights were attached to the fenders, rather than the grill sides. BP
We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

Looks like a DeSoto to me. 38 maybe.

Those darn Desoto's get me every time, hehe.

Linking in a picture found on 'net of a '37 Desoto:

        Hood ornament - check
        Ribbed bumper - check
shape of the grill edges - check

Pix of '38s appear to be the grill is totally different down at the bottom and has a "hump" in it.

        Thanks!
