View Full Version : Post Paint Assembly of 57 Wagon begins.

After weeks of a hectic work schedule, birthdays, Easter, and spring time weed abatement, I finally got a weekend free to start bolting this puppy together. I have had ˝ days here and there prepping subassemblies, and some evenings researching and locating molding clips and goodies from SI, but yesterday was quite rewarding, and I couldn’t wait to share some pictures.
Should move pretty quick from here, the front has many pieces some of which were damaged in the accident, and hours of blacking out behind grill, untold hours polishing and masking off those side pieces for the grill, and finger numbing fun polishing the grill.

Ross, I hope your bringing it to La Palma next month! I cant wait to see it "up close & personal." That was a great looking car before but now it looks as though it has slipped into the sensational category. Sorry you had to redo it under these circumstances but the finish looks to be very rewarding. See you next month!

It's amazing how good the cars do look with nice paint and chrome! So used to seeing them in dilapidated condition.
Very nice!
Ross, how do you like the wheel dollies?

What a lot of work, but it looks beautiful. Of course, I am partial to two-tone blue as that's what my '54 is, and the '57 Studebaker has always been one of my favorite years.
