View Full Version : Pickup Relisted

I had my 1959 pickup on eBay last month. I thought that it sold, but I never count something sold until I have money in hand and wave goodbye to the tail lights.

After the auction closed, the "winning" bidder, ndn-guy, e-mailed me that he: "Can't possibly buy this truck..."

I now have my modified/restmod 1959 pickup relisted. It is item number: 190142020389. I will attempt to make a link. http://cm.ebay.com/cm/ck/1065-29296-2357-0?uid=37220104&site=0&ver=LCA080805&item=190142020389&lk=URL

Please pass this information on to anyone that you think may be interested in this nice pickup that I will sell at a great loss. The pickup is a nice light blue, but the pictures were taken in a partially shaded area, as all of my yard is. Thanks for any help.

I notice a 1949, or newer, Studebaker pickup on eBay that is bid fairly high. I think it is because the seller calls it a 1948 and people bid because as a 1948 it would qualify for NSRA/street rod events/category.

Perhaps some of the losing bidders on John's or Dave's pickups would be interested in mine.

I have added two pictures to my pickup eBay listing that better show the color and condition. Refer to initial post for link to eBay.

Nice truck, Gary. I like the details in the engine compartment. Well written ad. Good luck with the sale.

My new reserve is much less than it was last month.

It is supposed to set a new record high temperature here today. Wouldn't it be nice to have an air conditioned vehicle?

There is a link to my eBay listing in the initial post in this thread.

Thanks, John/JDP. My wife will be glad to get her garage space back.

I will get back to you as soon as the Second Chance Offer expires (this afternoon). I don't expect anything, but I feel that it is the proper thing to do.

I was not crazy about the tail lights, but they seem good from a safety standpoint. People are used to getting blasted by bright tail lights and CHMSLs now. When the pickup was on eBay, I had people contact me to find out what the tail lights were from because they liked them and they wanted to copy them.

I'd probably swap the taillights too, and the steering wheel isn't the one that I would have picked, but overall that's a real nice looking truck.

I just hope that JDP does NOT end up with it, otherwise I'll be in a world of hurting.

Nate,

Think of this as your GTO project (i.e. Get Tools Out and start working on the truck). ;)
