  • Hand Carved Model

Several months back there was a small post in Turning Wheels about a South American carver who would create a model of the owners car. I cannot seem to find this issue or I am overlooking it. . .

Has anyone had one created, were you pleased?

Also it would be nice to have the contact information about that. . .thank you so much. . .

    The carver's name is Roberto.
Larry Tholen had a model of his '57 Transtar carved by Roberto, and it looked great!

I know exactly who you are talking about. Roberto does great work with a lot of detail. Actually I would like to have him do a model of one of my cars but I'm in the same boat you are, no contact.

There is a local woodcarver here that does beautiful work, but I have never seen his cars. He is going to do a carving of my 1941 Champion. I will post pictures when he is finished, or get some pictures of wowrk he has done.

There was also some info on the toy forum. Might be easier to find there. Steve

You can have the guy that did my urns do a car for you. You don't have to use it as a funeral urn. See the story in Feb 2013 Turning Wheels. He's in Arizona. www.Last-Rides.com Jesse Enriquez is the artist. I think his prices are compatable with Roberto from Brazil.

That's them in my signature pic.

I had one done of my '64 GT Hawk back in 2005 & Roberto is a gifted artist with his hands. Even the inside is done nicely in RHC.
