  • Build Sheet from the Museum

I ordered the build sheet for my lowly 6 cylinder Commander. I found it rather interesting...

There are a few things I find interesting. My car has a green interior, not blue. It
has a full vinyl seat with no signs of cloth. It says there should be a horn ring, but
it's a base green steering wheel. Someone has installed seat belts.

No shipping location is given, but I can document the car to the selling dealer in
    Orlando.

I like the green interior. I'm looking at painting the car green. As mentioned before
I'm looking at a GM V6 and an automatic transmission.

A couple of questions. If you didn't order back-up lights, what went into the lower
spot? If you didn't order the cigar lighter, what was put in the dash?

Hi, On my Fathers 1964 Commander (I went with him when he bought it) he didn't order reverse lamps.
When it was delivered it still had the clear lens but, no bulbs or sockets, just a plug over the hole.
I think it had the harness in the car but no switch or bulb/sockets. Our Commander had a cigarette lighter, my dad was a heavy smoker, he left us too early.
As a a aside I lobbied hard for the gold Avanti in Pzwara's Studebaker showroom, I was over ruled!
    Thanks

A chrome blanking plug was used if no cigar lighter was installed. Interesting about the rear arm rest?
