I wish I lived close enough to attend. Sdude, do you, or anybody, know anything about the miniature tank wagons on the back of the green/turquoise truck. I have one of the wheel barrows, but I haven't seen the wagons before.

They were built by member Pete Castonguary, San Jose CA.

You did it Lou. 34 Studebakers by my count. Gold Hawk Doug drove 4 hours from Reno just to attend (that's his Hawk in pic 3). It was a great meet and Lou, you did a wonderful job with the weather.

Yes, that is our very own SDC President Carl Thomason in picture 4. The children in Pic 5 are Lou's great neice and great nephew. I overheard their mother telling them not to touch the cars. I told them they could touch the green truck if they wanted to. After I assured their mother that it was my truck, I suggested they could climb in the back if they wanted to. What kids don't love to climb in the back of a truck. Lots of Studes and lots of Avantis. Oh yeah, lots of food too.

Thanks again Lou.....

As Jon stated there was a nice large turn out and as always Lou does a first class job before and after, Jon's first picture is of Lou's red truck and his 52 commander, Lou asked me what his 52 might be worth as he is thinking of maybe selling it, he has some interest in the Blue 64 GT R-1 that was posted here on the forum a month or two ago it is the one in San Francisco the owner told me he is about ready to sell it so Lou would like to move one to get another so here are more pictures of Lou"s 52 commander hardtop, 232 V-8 with 3 speed over drive a nicer 52 might be hard to find, lets here some figures and if someone is interested lets let Lou know and the two of you can talk, Lou is a member of the forum but not picture savvy yet....Take a look at one very nice 52.

Some sad news from today. Steve Rainville, a past president of our chapter was rear ended on the freeway on the way home. He was doing 65 in the slow lane when some knucklehead moved clear over from the fast lane and hit him. Steve thinks he was doing at least 80 mph and was probably texting. My biggest fear. Steve's car is the Green 55 that Carl Thomason is posing next to in the pictures in post #15.

Steve and Jilg are shaken up but hopefully nothing serious. Steve took Jilg to the hospital and she was treated and released. Their dog is OK too. I asked Steve to send me some pictures when he can and I will post them. Hopefully it can be repaired but he said it was pretty bad. He said it is drivable though.

Distracted driving really pi**es me off. I got on the freeway right in front of Steve and the incident occurred right after my exit. What a drag.....

I believe Lou said the car has just 27,000 original miles. Very nice car and a one year only model.

That's a stinking shame about Steve and Jilg being hit. I'll follow up with him to see if I can help. It's good they had no serious injuries. That '55 is one of the sweetest cars around. Hope he can repair it.

Thank you for your kind thoughts we are ok Jilg's neck is strainned not badly mine is alittle sore the dog doesen't remember a thing. We are lucky it was not worse the car is damaged but nothing that cannot be fixed. The kid that hit us was as dumb as a post appeard that he wanted to run at first but the 55 was mad as he!! and would not let he get away so he pulled over after a mile or two. Thanks again to those in the club that stopped to help or check on us. Rick and Johnna stopped to help and took some pictures may they can post , my smart phone is still smarter than me so no pictures yet. Thanks again to some of the best people I know.
