  • Hey Bo Bo forget the Picnic Basket check out this Studebaker!

Here's a picture I saw on a Facebook Vintage photos page called "Photos of America in the 1950's".

People who drive Studebakers go against the societal current ....

Also .... How smart is it to get out of the car with Bears around?

Wouldn't it be cool if the person or persons in this Studebaker were members of the SDC today and recognized the event.

I am sure the bear is suggesting that they could have at least thrown in a few more dollars for the available hood ornament...

Maybe the fellow is ducking into the Studebaker,
leaving the photographer for the bear's lunch!
Cool photo! Reminds me of family trips in our 1952 Champ!

That's some windshield visor on the Stude....I can see how it would really help in certain driving/sunlight conditions.

I think Fulton must have been one of the most popular after-market visors at that time. My Uncle had one on his 1950 2R5. My grandparents '50 Champion had one - and my dad said the car would go fast enough to pull the chrome strip out of the center of the windshield...
