  • Steering: Steering wheel interchange

The steering wheel in my '65 Daytona is cracked in a bunch of spots and is in dire need of replacement.I would like to pick up another one at some point. My question is this-what years will interchange with my car?I just want to make double-darn sure some shyster dosen't sell me something that won't fit.I wouldn't even rule out an aftermarket wheel. Can you folks steer me in the right direction?(Pun intended.) Thanks.

I have a couple from 63's. I'm pretty sure they will fit. Others can clarify. Anyway, I have a black/white and I think a painted beige one too. In decent shape...no cracks...easy to paint.

1961-1966 steering wheels are the same, they are just painted different colors. Good used ones and even NOS ones are still out there.

I've got 2 nice ones but I wouldn't want a shyster to buy them. He may not know what he is looking for or tell me an El Cheapo price he want's to pay for it. cheers

In a pinch, '57 up passenger car (Non-Avanti) may fit!

If you want to know what they are worth call Studebaker International. They still have NOS wheels available I believe.

By the by. I is a bunch. Thanks for correcting my punctuation. I kinda doubt that shyster is the proper (terminology/description) when used in place of a person that would sell an incorrect steering wheel for your car. Perhaps He would be a shyster if he gave you an incorrect wheel for free. Right?
