  • Electrical: P and l terminals on flasher

I have a 55 champion that has been partially converted to 12 volt. The flasher was missing but I have finally located where it was located and there is a male and female connection. The new 12 volt flasher has 2 male connections and they are marked P and L. Can someone tell me which is the P or the L connection on the original flassher so I ca make pigtails for the new one. Thanks for any advice as I am new to all this electrical wiring.

P is for power. L is for load. There should be a + by the p terminal.

hmmm, haven't looked at the terms on a 2-term flasher in a while.
If you ever run across a 3-term flasher, this is the code:
P-pilot lite (the dash indicator lite)
      X- power supply
      L- load
      1947 M5 under restoration
      a bunch of non-Stude stuff
