Is that supposed to be 58 Packard Hawk fin coves on her dress?

The golf club handles are still on the space car at the museum! I never knew the lights actually lit up, or that the seat was strong enough to support somebody sitting on it. It's one of the few S-P "prototypes", if you really want to call it that, that I'm not so sure I completely understand why they built aside from giving the designers a chance to play around with new ideas they could apply to a car.

I found my missing putters!
Thought I left them at the bottom of that lake.

I got to see it at the Petersen Museum three years ago: http://forum.studebakerdriversclub.com/showthread.php?31626-57-Studebaker-Packard-Astral&highlight=astral

Interesting concept for sure.

The dress or the car?

Ya think Shasta stole the idea from her dress for their travel trailers? ;)

Flying cars...pretty silly! But a car powered by a small atomic reactor could go on for years without needing to pull into a gas station...that's what we were promised!! Blame 'Big Oil' again!

here's some "real" ones: http://www.techgraffiti.com/news-entrepreneurial-spirit-soars

when i was a mere yout' in the 60's, i thought we'd be at least at a point now as depicted in "2001-A Space Odyssey", given the progress in less than 10 years to get to the moon...

sorry for the thread drift, warp speed back to the OP's thoughts - engage! ;)
